WASHINGTON (AP) -- If President Donald Trump's recent travels were as "tremendous" in their successes as he says, that's not apparent in the aftermath. That's the conclusion of an AP Fact Check examining his claims.

To illustrate progress in relations with the Philippines, he told a false tale about how relations under Barack Obama were so poisoned that Manila prevented Air Force One from landing. He also cites an agreement with China on how to deal with North Korea. China says no such agreement took place.

But those deals are a mix of new and ongoing business. And they do not point to a turnaround in deep-seated trade tensions between China and the U.S.
